Gas Price Video

Hi,

You don't need me to tell you energy prices are out of control.

Gas is now over $4 a gallon on average -- an increase of more than 75% since Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi took over Congress. And the price increases show no signs of slowing down.

Last week I talked with Gregg Jarrett of Fox News about my plan to lower gas prices. My plan would increase supply through environmentally responsible energy exploration here at home rather than counting on oil rich Middle East nations to bail us out. But our efforts have been stopped at every turn by liberals afraid of angering the radical environmentalists.

Please take a minute to watch the video.

Every day, prices go up and I hear from people who are hurting. And every day, Washington Democrats stall and play the blame game rather than dealing with this problem.

But last week took the cake. Senate Democrats actually fought to increase taxes claiming that would lower prices. Any business owner will tell you that higher taxes lead to higher prices. But simple facts never stood in the way of this tax and spend bunch. Fortunately, we were able to block this wrong-headed plan by a slim margin.

Incredibly, Barack Obama said the problem isn't the high gas prices. The problem--according to Obama and many Washington Democrats--is that the price increase wasn't "gradual" enough. You see, the environmentalists have been openly advocating higher gas prices for years, and their friends in Washington and at the New York Times are all too happy to help out.

One thing is certain:

Washington Democrats just don't get it.

People need help now. That's why we must aggressively pursue alternative energy sources and seek to take full advantage of American innovation. And, we must increase the supply of energy available -- from our own shores -- in the short term. America has the ability to attack this problem, but we cannot be successful if we allow our hands to continue to be tied in the form of restrictive and unnecessary regulations which limit our options and destroy opportunity for new jobs.

These are all ideas I've told you about before. And I need your help to make these ideas a reality.

Take Action Today:

  1. Watch the Video.
  2. If you haven't done so, please take a moment to sign the petition calling on Congress to take meaningful action to lower gas prices.
  3. Spread the word by sending messages to all your friends and family encouraging them to sign the petition.
  4. Make a financial contribution to my campaign. Washington Democrats and their allied special interest groups aren't happy about my efforts, and they are planning a campaign year onslaught of negative attacks.

My super-wealthy opponent actually supports the outlandish energy policies the Democrat Senate has promoted...

...and you can bet if he wins he'll be a "rubber-stamp" for Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, and the rest of the "limousine liberals" who are out of touch with what Americans -- and Kentuckians -- face every day.

I'll need your ongoing support to fight for lower gas prices as well as other commonsense laws which make sense in Paducah, Louisville, and Lexington -- even if my opponent's Washington handlers disagree.

Thanks again for your help.
